About

Constructed in 1896 to celebrate 1,000 years of Hungarian civilisation, Heroes’ Square is the largest and most symbolic square in Budapest. With the Archangel Gabriel (who stands watch from atop the central Millennium Monument) and the statues of five freedom fighters nearby, this is an eye-catching outdoor World Heritage site that will take you on a journey through Hungarian heritage.
